The Retainage Audit Report for the PGPC LNG Import Terminal at Port Qasim, Karachi for the period January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 has found that in the past year the PGPC Terminal saved 307,857 MMBTU of gas over the allowed retainage benchmark. This highlights the efficiency of the operations of the Terminal and the benefits it is providing to Pakistan.
The value of this retainage for the year is over US $4.2 million. In the six-and-a-half years the PGPC Terminal has been in operation, it has saved US $22 million on account of retainage.
